2026 Irvine School Project - Assam India

2026 Mission IS Possible Team trip summary

From March 11-24, 33 volunteers traveled to India to construct a girls dormitory for the Irvine Adventist School in Assam India. We also conducted a vacation bible school for the dormitory students after school each day.

The existing school girl’s dormitory is small, dark, overcrowded and flood prone.  The new buildings will allow for more girls to attend school and to live in dignified spaces.  In addition, part of our team worked with the students and conducted a Vacation Bible School at the school for five days.

We had plenty of miracles on this trip - from flight delays, security angels to nightly downpours that would cease as soon as we were ready to work.  We knew that God was working mightily to allow us to complete this work!

After six days of work, we were able to complete all of the brick work at the school and help get the roof completed.  We will get final pictures once they have completed the plaster and painting and the girls move in by April 15!

After the work was done and we had a dedication ceremony with the school, our group was able to see some of the wonderful sights in that part of the world - mainly Manas and Kaziranga national parks to look for tigers (side note. - we didn't see any but saw plenty of God's wonderful creation anyway!).
